Glacial Lagoon, Jökulsárlón, Iceland Photo by R. Kokolus
My husband & I traveled to Iceland over the holidays this year. Crazy, right? It was beautiful, and we saw some amazing sights. The Glacial Lagoon was beautiful
[see pic above], and we somehow managed to see it with the sun shining and then the sunset. Wow. We also had a brief glimpse of the Northern Lights, which was my dream.
We were very lucky!
The big brand in Iceland – which was obvious because everyone is wearing it! – is 66° North. BTW, 66° North latitude runs through Iceland.
This is a branding coup. It’s a great name that also identifies with the area/market. Everyone wants to wear it, so it’s great merchandising… and advertising. Terrific!
Not all of us have names that lend themselves to a fun idea or marketing blitz. But it’s a good idea when picking or changing a company’s or organization’s name/branding that you think about how it will resonate with your market.
Food for thought. And if you need help with your rebranding, give us a call.
Have a great week!
