If you are not on a current version of your web browser [Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer],
please take a few moments to upgrade NOW!
For more information about Transport Layer Security (TLS) and why we are doing this, see below.
Why are you upgrading?
Our software provider is requiring an upgrade to TLS 1.1 or higher by July 2017 in order to remain PCI Compliant. This change is mandated by the PCI Security Council and because of this requirement.
What is TLS?
TLS stands for “Transport Layer Security.” It is a protocol that provides privacy and data integrity between two communicating applications. It’s the most widely deployed security protocol used today, and is used for web browsers and other applications that require data to be securely exchanged over a network. TLS ensures that a connection to a remote endpoint is the intended endpoint through encryption and endpoint identity verification.
Several of our online portal clients purchase via credit card, so this security measure is necessary to protect their credit card information.
How will customers be impacted?
After TLS 1.0 is enabled, any customer or person not using the current version of their web browser may have issues accessing our online portal. Internet Explorer 9 and prior versions may not support TLS 1.1 or 1.2. You can check your browser’s TLS support by visiting https://www.howsmyssl.com.
How can I avoid a service disruption?
If you are not using a current version of your web browser, please take a few moments to upgrade now.
We appreciate you time and quick attention to this matter, so that your online buying experience with us is good and possible technical issues are avoided.
