I have decided to blog about my experiences being in the forms, printing, promotional products and apparel industry for over 51 years. I have been fortunate to have a long career and to share it with my family. Now I want to share it with all of you.
Once upon a time a soldier returned from active duty having spent 24 months in the United States Army Infantry 1964 -1966. Within a month I landed a job with the then Standard Register Company.
There I learned the Ten Functions of Business. This paved my understanding of how paperwork flows through all companies, and really the nuts and bolts of how companies operate.
These functions are Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Production, Purchasing, Receiving, Selling, Shipping, and Storing.
This understanding has enabled me to serve clients from Service Bureaus, Manufacturing, Utilities, Healthcare, Charities, Retail, Restaurants, Government, Education, Beverage, Casinos, Financial, Insurance, and others. It became clear that with an understanding of the functions of business, one can offer solutions to ongoing obstacles. I founded Five Thousand Forms, Inc. in 1973.
